About Me

Hi, I am Noraldim Kamis — a software engineer based in Bilecik, Türkiye, with a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. I build software end-to-end: the interface people touch, the services behind it, and the Linux and container infrastructure it runs on.

Right now I work at Baynal Group, where I delivered the Health Education Platform for the Bilecik Provincial Health Directorate under a government contract — web application and companion mobile app, both built end-to-end. Before that I spent a year as a network engineer at my university, running campus-wide servers, DNS and switching, and moving internal services onto Docker and Kubernetes.

My capstone project sits at the other end of the range: a computer-vision pipeline that segments satellite imagery to find buildable land, then plans a city on top of it. That mix — shipping products, running the systems under them, and pushing on the research side — is what I like about this work.

Why Linux?

Linux and cloud computing look like separate subjects until you run something real. Most cloud services depend on Linux to run their servers, and distributions like Ubuntu LTS have become the default for a reason: they are stable, predictable, and they get out of the way. Building local labs and local servers is what pulled me toward cloud computing in the first place — and it is still the fastest way I know to find out whether you actually understand a system or only understand the diagram of it.
